Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 - Post-Launch Update Overview & Patch Notes (2025)

Treyarch wastes no time with Black Ops 7's first update, but is it enough?

Just 48 hours after the highly anticipated release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, players have already received a surprise update. While it's a minor one, addressing a few specific issues, it's a swift response from the developers at Treyarch.

The update focuses on two main modes: Multiplayer and Zombies, with a handful of adjustments:

Multiplayer:
- Fixed a quirky bug where game modes in Quick Play could flip if players skipped post-game reports and kept searching for matches.
- Spanish-speaking players can now create custom loadouts 6-10 without a hitch.
- Stability improvements to reduce crashes.

Zombies:
- Ashes of the Damned has been patched, closing loopholes that made players untargetable by enemies.
- Stability updates to enhance the overall experience.

And that's it! A tiny update, but a swift one. We can expect more substantial changes in future updates, which is reassuring for players who've encountered issues.

The Multiplayer and Zombies modes have been a blast so far, but the Co-Op Campaign hasn't impressed everyone. Pure Xbox's Ben gave it a scathing 4/10 review, calling it a 'mess of a COD campaign'.

What's your take on Black Ops 7 so far? Are you satisfied with this initial update, or do you think Treyarch should have tackled more issues?

Let's discuss in the comments! And remember, Fraser, our News Editor, is always on the lookout for your feedback and opinions.
